About

Jeong is a fine-dining establishment helmed by chef Dave Park (Eater Chicago’s Chef of the Year, 2019) and his partner Jennifer Tran, serving a seasonally rotating Korean-inspired tasting menu. The restaurant’s name is a reference to Park’s grandmother, and its food is fueled by Park’s memories of his early immigrant childhood. The menu is born from chef Park’s natural love of cooking, using a constellation of modern global techniques.

The term “Jeong” also has another meaning – in the Korean language, “jeong” describes an emotional bond of affection that grows between people over time, which is part of the service you’ll experience as new and returning guests. In 2019, its founding year, Jeong was awarded three stars from the Chicago Tribune, and it landed in Bon Appétit magazine’s Top 50 Restaurants of the Year as well.

The drink menu is also influenced by the same concepts, combining a tightly curated list of Korean spirits, wine, cocktails, sake, and non-alcoholic beverages, including tea from Chicago’s very own Rare Tea Cellars. You’ll be enjoying your evening in a comfortable and intimate space, designed to be elegant, comfortable, and approachable.

Jeong is also the spiritual continuation of its former critically acclaimed restaurant, Hanbun, which opened up in Westmont, IL, as a stall serving a modernized take on traditional Korean food.
